These images can be found in an album held by Pembrokeshire Archives, that is dedicated to Major H.D. Johns of the 218 Siege Battery. The album itself holds incredible images of the day to day lives of soldiers during WW1. It includes photographs of artillery guns in action, ruined building and images of other soldiers in the battalion! Daw'r ffotograffau hyn o albwm yn gasgliadau Archifdy Sir Benfro er anrhydedd i'r Uwchgapten H.D. Johns o Fagnelfa Gwarchae 218. Mae'r albwm ei hun yn cynnwys delweddau anhygoel o fywydau dyddiol milwyr yn ystod y Rhyfel Byd Cyntaf. Mae'n cynnwys ffotograffau o gynnau magnelau ar waith, adeiladau wedi'u hadfeilio, a delweddau o filwyr eraill yn y bataliwn. This artwork, held by Pembrokeshire Archives was painted by W.H.Davies in 1870 and is titled ‘Huntsman’s Leap’. This coastal chasm can be found near the village of Bosherston; a beautiful sight with a grizzly story. Supposedly the famous gap earned its namesake when a hunter on horseback jumped over it, but upon looking back and realising the distance, he immediately died of shock! Paentiwyd y gwaith celf hwn, a gedwir gan Archifdy Sir Benfro, gan W.H.Davies ym 1870 a’i deitl yw ‘Huntsman’s Leap’. Gellir dod o hyd i'r ceunant arfordirol hwn ger pentref Bosherston: golygfa hardd, ond gyda stori arswydus. Yn ôl y sôn, cafodd y ceunant yr enw hwn ar ôl i heliwr ar gefn ceffyl neidio ar ei draws, ond pan edrychodd yn ôl ar y pellter, bu farw o sioc! Mae'r lluniau hyn o Archifau Ynys Môn yn dangos menywod mewn gwisg draddodiadol Gymreig yn mwynhau te gyda'i gilydd. Mae pobl erioed wedi mwynhau dod at ei gilydd am baned a sgwrs! These photos from Anglesey Archives show women in traditional Welsh dress enjoying tea together. No matter the time-period, a cuppa and a chat never gets old! O Glamorgan Archives / Archifau Morgannwg, mae'r llythyr hwn yn disgrifio ymdrechion disgyblion Ysgol Heathfield House yng Nghaerdydd yn ystod haf yr Ail Ryfel Byd. Cyfrannodd y disgyblion drwy weithio ar ffermydd lleol; mae'r llythyr yn nodi bod grŵp o ferched wedi cael eu cludo mewn lori i ddechrau'r dasg hon am 9:45am ac y byddent yn dychwelyd am 6:30 gyda'r nos. From @glamarchives, this letter describes the efforts of the pupils at Heathfield House School in Cardiff during the summer of the WW2. The pupils contributed by working on local farms; the letter stating that a group of girls were taken by a lorry to begin this task at 9:45am and would return at 6:30 in the evening. Mae'r ddelwedd hon yn dangos dyn yn cario cwrwgl ar lan afon Dyfrdwy ger Pont Llangollen, tua 1910. Cwch bach di-gil yw cwrwgl, sydd â hanes diwylliannol cyfoethog, sy'n ymestyn yn ôl miloedd o flynyddoedd. Mae rhai paentiadau ogof o'r Oes Efydd yn manylu ar yr arfer o ddefnyddio cwrwgl ar gyfer pysgota, ac yn ôl pob tebyg, chredir ei bod hi'n debygol mai dyma'r math cyntaf o gludiant dŵr!
