These photos from the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales ariel photography collection show Abergavenny Castle, the National Botanic Garden of Wales, Porthmadog and Swansea. Mae'r lluniau hyn o gasgliad ffotograffiaeth awyr Comisiwn Brenhinol Henebion Cymru yn dangos Castell y Fenni, Gardd Fotaneg Genedlaethol Cymru, Porthmadog ac Abertawe. O'r golwg, fe'u tynnwyd i gyd ar ddiwrnod heulog braf! If you’re ever taking a stroll through Cardiff Bay and find yourself passing a building that makes you question where you actually are, don’t worry! You haven’t miraculously teleported to rural Scandinavia, you are just walking past the docks famous Norwegian church. It was funded in 1868 by Sjømannskirken: The Norwegian Church Abroad and served as their first purpose-built Sjømannsmisjonen (Seamen’s Mission). Specifically, it was built by a pastor names Pastor Carl Herman Lund for the religious and social needs of the Norwegian seaman who found themselves docked at Cardiff’s ports. Ariannwyd yr eglwys Norwyaidd enwog dociau Caerdydd ym 1868 gan Sjømannskirken: The Norwegian Church Abroad, a gwasanaethodd fel eu Sjømannsmisjonen (Cenhadaeth y Morwyr) cyntaf a adeiladwyd yn bwrpasol. Adeiladwyd yr eglwys felly gan y Gweinidog Carl Herman i wasanaethu gofynion crefyddol a chymdeithasol y morwyr Norwyaidd tra oeddent yn y porthladd. Mae'r ddelwedd hon, o Archifau Sir Benfro, yn dangos ‘Siart Arfordir Cymru’ gan y Capten Greenville Collins (1643-1694) a oedd yn swyddog yn y Llynges Frenhinol ac yn Dyfrddarluniwr blaenllaw. This image, held by Pembrokeshire Archives, shows the ‘Chart of the Coast of Wales’ by Captain Greenville Collins (1643-1694) who was an officer of the Royal Navy and a prominent Hydrographer. These photos show 2 songs that were sung by miners during the Tynewydd colliery disaster on the 11th of April 1877. The mine was flooded, trapping 14 workers and tragically resulting in the deaths of 5. According to this programme, a boy called David Hughes sang of these songs Mae'r lluniau hyn yn dangos 2 gân a ganwyd gan lowyr yn ystod trychineb pwll glo Tynewydd ar yr 11eg o Ebrill 1877. Gorlifodd y pwll glo, gan ddal 14 o'r gweithwyr o dan y ddaear. Yn drasig, bu farw 5 ohonynt. Yn ôl y rhaglen hon, canodd bachgen o'r enw David Hughes y caneuon hyn. Pasg Hapus i Bawb!
